With the ability to develop meaningful messages and life-changing platforms, while appropriately and effectively sharing and promoting those messages and platforms with audiences around the world, author Ashley Rae (Klinger) has introduced A Shrub Not a Tree as the first book in a special collection of children’s books inspired by the growth of her family and their journey through infertility, adoption, and foster care.

Each book’s message is divided into two parts. The first part is aimed at providing children of all ages with a thought-provoking, age-appropriate message that’s easy to comprehend, while the second part is aimed at providing adults with additional insight and a deeper understanding of the overall concept and mindset behind that message; in the hopes of empowering and equipping all families with the desire and ability to not only initiate conversations with one another about that particular message, as it pertains to their family or a family they may know, but to live purposeful, intentional, engaged, and faith-filled lives – as individuals and as families.

“Ashley Rae is an inspiring person and now author. She is someone that takes on life’s challenges and finds ways in which to make this world a better place. Her kind and generous heart is an inspiration to many. She has found ways in which to use her compassion for others, her knowledge of marketing and message delivery, and her public speaking ability to impact individuals, families, companies and communities in a positive way. While some may roll over and give up when presented the obstacles placed in front of Ashley and her husband, she has chosen to rise up, listen to God’s plan for her and her family’s life, and make the best of situations. Her positive attitude and unwavering faith in God is demonstrated not only in her writing, but in her daily life as well. This world is a better place because of Ashley Rae and I love seeing her charge to inspire others to make it better as well.” ~ Carma Hanson | Safe Kids Coordinator and Child Safety Advocate.
